My name is Matt Harris, Ed.D. and I am international educator living in Asia with deep passion around Educational Technology (EdTech). I work as an administrator in international schools and I am international EdTech consultant, speaker, and author. I have committed my work towards helping international schools use technology successfully to improve learning, communications, and operations. In my work with international schools, I have helped my institutions become lighthouse schools for enhanced learning through technology for all school community members including students, staff, parents, and board members. I have helped schools gain international awards, special recognitions, and distinguished schools status through the projects I have led in EdTech.

Matt Harris, Ed.D.In my career, I have worked as an educational leader, teacher, instructional technologist, author, presenter and researcher for the past 15+ years. I have taught at all grade levels from preschool to university graduate school as an ICT and mathematics teacher. I am a frequent conference speaker focusing on educational topics from educational technology integration and information literacy to professional development and change management. I have keynoted a number of conferences. All of my conference materials are available online.

I am a published author, writing about educational technology, educational leadership, and international education. In addition to my blog, I have contributed for The International Educator, EdTech Digest, International Teacher Magazine, ASCD In-Service, Council for International Schools, and the Microsoft Educator Network. I (attempt to) curate and add to the body of educational technology materials that help teachers use tools for enhanced teaching and learning (please follow me on Twitter or check out my EdTech Vlog on YouTube). My research interests lie in the design and implementation of staff development, educational leadership, and instructional programs that focus on improving student learning through resource allocation and usage. I am a former board member for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

Additionally, I work as an educational consultant for schools and Ministries of Education in the Middle East, Africa, North America, Australia, and Asia. I also dabble in a bit of data systems design for schools and career/professional counseling for educational technology professionals, The consulting company I founded, International EdTech, has been working on projects around sharing of international educational technology ideas and resources, use of data in international schools, and developing a framework for effective EdTech use in international education. Recently, I have worked with schools in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Vietnam on strategic planning, school technology readiness, data systems design, and integration planning for technology into curriculum.
