As part of student and faculty one-to-one device programs, data management is a key skill users need to attain and exercise. As we don’t provide automated back up services, but we do expect students and teachers to have full access to their data regardless of the condition of their devices, we found it imperative to provide a set of guidelines for data backup.

In this handout, you’ll find a list of potential back-up methods with a heavy emphasis on cloud services. It also talks about what folders to back up on laptops and phones/tablets.
